Ms.
Cesia Minemann, Esq. is For People of Color, Inc.'s
("FPOC") Senior Admissions Consultant. She participates in
FPOC's annual law school application review process and frequently
conducts personal statement workshops. Ms. Minemann has a long track
record of establishing community based educational
programs.
She
began and implemented the Academic Advancement
Program in New York, in which she assisted
low-income-minority-high-school students navigate the application
process to gain admission to undergraduate
institutions through a year-long-based program. She
later began an international program called Construyendo Puentes based
out of Guadalajara, Mexico that assisted 80 students looking to study
in the U.S. by tutoring and developing their English language
skills.
Ms.
Minemann also serves as the acting director
for the Higher Education Program for the Association of Professionals
and Students. The Higher Education Program assists East Los Angeles
high school students gain admission to a university or college of their
choice through a year-long intensive program adapted to guide
participants through the college admissions process while strengthening
their writing and test taking skills. She attained her B.A.s in
Political Science and Human Rights from Bard College. Ms. Minemann
received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
